F.W. Metcalfe & Sons is a traditional, family run Hardware and Ironmongery shop, located in the Hertfordshire town of Tring. Established in 1948 by Frederick William Metcalfe and his three sons Ronald, Robert and Peter, it was later taken over by Peter the youngest son, whose youngest son David now runs the business along with two partners Joanna Lace and Ruth Trimmer.

Having Hardware, Housewares and Garden departments means there is a vast range of goods available to our customers, and this range, coupled with the service provided by our friendly and helpful staff makes shopping at 'Metcalfe's' a more enjoyable and personal experience than shopping at one of the many out of town DIY superstores. Whether your purchasing a large amount, or just a few loose nails or screws, our staff offer the same cheerful and helpful service to all customers.
